International Students

The Maine Girls’ Academy prides itself on its vibrant and dynamic international community, with students from a host of countries seeking a rigorous college preparatory education. Their cultural differences, unique talents and gifts enrich the lives of all who attend MGA.

An international student is required to join the MGA community either through an agency connection or through the legal guardianship of a local family member. Regarding the admission process, The Maine Girls’ Academy requires the completion of our application, as well as an interview via Skype with the Director of Admission. Upon acceptance, MGA will work closely with its local International Student Coordinator to find the best possible living arrangement. It is preferable that the international student live with a current Academy student and her family. This has proven to be a valuable experience for both the international student and her host family, as lasting friendships have been formed and maintained.

MGA takes the transition of all international students very seriously; therefore, MGA has designed an all-inclusive program that meets all unique academic and social needs. MGA’s International Student Consultant will work alongside each student to provide the following services: an international student orientation prior to the start of the academic year, multiple check-ins with the student and her host family, ELL tutorial support and TOEFL preparation for those students who wish to pursue post-secondary studies here in the United States.

Required of all international students:

Tuition and fees (2017-2018):

Tuition  $17,250
International Fee  $3,485
School Activity Fee  $330
Total  $21,065
