Summer Camps

The Maine Girls’ Academy offers summer camps for girls ages 8-14 (grades 3-8). Sports camps include basketball, cheerleading/dance and soccer. Fine arts programs feature dramatics, along with digital photography and creative writing. In addition, a girls’ leadership camp is available for young women to discover their strengths and limitless potential. New this year MGA will offer a Yoga & Nature Explorers camp where girls will learn about yoga, mindfulness and more in a variety of natural settings including the beach and local parks and forests.

All camps are directed by MGA’s dynamic faculty and other experienced professionals, along with assistance from our Academy Girls. Camp descriptions can be found at the bottom of the page.

All camps are held Monday-Thursday from 8:30AM-2:30PM.  Friday 8:30AM-12:00PM. There will be no camp held on July 4th. 

Each camp is $200 for a one-week session. A $25 discount will be applied for each additional week of camp attended. Payment for camps can be made via PayPal when you submit the form below.

Maine Girls' Academy Camp Registration

Maine Girls' Academy Summer Camps afford girls the chance to make new friends and have fun while taking part in an authentic learning experience. Our Leadership, Creative Arts and Yoga Camps foster independent learning and creativity while developing leadership skills. The Sports Camps are designed to give all participants a solid foundation in skills, techniques and strategies within a framework of sportsmanship.

    Unless otherwise stated, my signature permits The Maine Girls' Academy (MGA) to use photographs of my child. MGA Summer Camps will safeguard the health of each participant but will not be responsible for sickness or accident. The applicant is in good health, is covered by insurance and is able to participate in physical activity. I authorize staff to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention.

Leadership for Girls
This camp run by Girls Are is meant to show young girls just how great and powerful they are! We focus each day on a new, dynamic, and positive adjective meant to describe the kinds of young people the world needs as leaders today. Campers will learn leadership skills, practice self-esteem building, learn about famous female leaders, get creative, play team-building games, meet inspiring females in their own community, make friends, and of course, have fun!

Basketball
Get a solid foundation in basketball skills, techniques, and strategies. Come experience sportsmanship, teamwork, and safety while having fun and meeting new friends! Be sure to bring your swimsuit and towel!

Photography & Writing
Come write and capture the moment during this fun and whimsical week. Strengthen your writing skills with poem prompts and integrating stories with your photos. Learn photography basics and creative photo printmaking.

Soccer
An overall soccer experience teaching the basics while also building on already mastered skills! Learn skills, strategies, and teamwork while having fun with your new friends! Bring a swimsuit and towel!

Dramatics
Learn the on-stage and off-stage art of theater in this fun, interactive camp. Experience writing, casting, costuming, and performing your own play while gaining skills in technical work, lighting, hair,and  makeup. Bring a swimsuit and towel too!

Cheerleading and Dance Team
Girls will learn the fundamental skills for cheering and being part of a dance team. They will stunt, learn chants and cheers, choreography, and safety! Comfy clothes and sneakers are required, as well as a bathing suit and towel!

Yoga & Nature Explorers
Girls will practice yoga, mindfulness, and kindness to themselves and others in a variety of natural settings. We will explore local beaches, parks, and forests taking inspiration for our yoga practice, a variety of nature-based activities and lots of arts and crafts. No yoga experience necessary. Yoga mats will be provided if needed, dress in comfortable clothes, sneakers for outdoor exploration and bring a bathing suit and towel.
