Help to ensure that The Maine Girls’ Academy continues to thrive as the only school in Maine dedicated solely to the education of girls.
While our name is new, we have a rich 140-year history of educating girls in the Maine Sisters of Mercy tradition. Our alumnae have been, and will continue to be, the next generation of bold and confident thinkers, compassionate leaders and purposeful change makers- women who change the world.
With your support, we:
- Encourage girls with dreams to become women of vision.
- Honor our legacy of empowering and educating girls.
- Create young women who leave MGA inspired for life.
This is a pivotal year for the school, and we need your support.
As an independent school, MGA receives no government or church funding. We have relied, and will continue to rely on Annual Fund gifts among other donations and grants to ensure the All-Girl Advantage continues for a new generation of young women.
You might be surprised to know that we keep tuition well below the full cost of a student’s education to assure that this opportunity is available to many families. And, over 50% of our students receive some type of financial assistance. We must make up that significant gap in funding through the Annual Fund.
“If it weren’t for the generosity of donors, I wouldn’t be an Academy girl today. Thank you to everyone who believes that I can, and will, make a difference.”
– Student, MGA Class of 2017
