Period One’s sophomore U.S. History Honors class will be traveling to Boston’s Museum of Science thanks to a generous scholarship from the Raytheon Corporation.

In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Raytheon is providing Exhibit Hall Scholarships for 90 field trips during the month of October 2012.  Eighteen McAuley students and three chaperones will travel to the museum via the Downeaster on Friday, October 19th to participate in the museum’s Archaeology Fair.  Twenty-five archaeologists will be available to discuss their findings and their careers with visitors at that time.  The students will also view special exhibits on the Ice Age and Shipwrecks and Pirates featuring Civil War treasures.
