The Catherine McAuley High School community extends its deepest condolences to the family of Wil Smith, who served McAuley for eight years as a coach, parent, seminar presenter, mentor and Seeds of Peace Associate Director.

During his time at McAuley, Wil educated and inspired, awakened and guided.  He exemplified McAuley’s core values of integrity, justice and compassion, principles that he modeled most fervently for his daughter, Olivia, a former McAuley student.

In remembering Wil, Sister Edward Mary Kelleher, Principal Emerita, recalls:

“Wil Smith has long been an inspiration to me.  His story motivates people to be more committed and dedicated to what they do every day. He was a believer in people and a believer in their goodness.  As a former coach, colleague and dad here at McAuley, I count Wil as one of my blessings and a true friend – a friend I will not forget and very much miss.”

McAuley will hold a special memorial service to honor the life of Wil Smith on Sunday, March 15 at 1:00pm. All are invited.
