The Maine Girls' Academy
Parents and educators are invited to listen, learn, and collaborate with Katie Hurley, parenting expert and author of The Happy Kid Handbook and No More Mean Girls.
Katie Hurley is helping to change the narrative of girlhood…one girl at a time. Her new book, No More Mean Girls, offers actionable steps to help parents empower young girls to be kind, confident leaders who work together and build each other up. Katie Hurley, LCSW, is a child and adolescent psychotherapist, parenting expert, writer, and speaker. Her book, The Happy Kid Handbook, reveals that cultivating happiness in children’s lives is about parenting the individual, because not every child is the same, and not every child will respond the same way. Book signing to follow with books available for purchase.
Parents are welcome to bring their children to participate in a fun night of their own while parents attend the lecture. MGA students (and faculty advisor) will offer activities, games, and snacks for children ages 7-12.
